Finally I can begin to show off Postie! As part of Chapter 2 one of my goals was to start showing off Postie as I develop it here on this log.
One reason I hadn't up to this point was because I was slightly embarrassed for lack of a better word. I always have had an impostor syndrome boarding on some inferiority complex about my abilities. Another reason was because the CMS was architected in such a way that images had to manually uploaded and manually linked to an external source. That is now fixed! So adding images is easy!
So here are the first images of Postie, see what you think. It may be a bit boring but isn't that the point? It only gets better from here.

One of the most essential things in email is letting people know when there is a delay in (or failure in) sending their message. Now I am happy to say that Postie has this feature, among other important notification types.
Address not found notificationI've been helping build an email notification system for a client recently (for when new leads come in to their CRM) so I've been thinking about notifications, when to notify, when not to and crucially giving the option to tune accordingly. Email is one of those things people assume works unless they get a notification. Each system has their own notification use case which is important to keep in mind as I explore my notification system for users and admins of Postie
